Mühendislik Yönetimi Programı, değişik mühendislik, fen ve işletme bilimleri disiplinlerinden gelen öğrencileri modern ve rekabetçi yönetim bilgi, yaklaşım ve teknikleri ile donanmış yöneticiler olarak yetiştirmeyi yeğler.

DERS İÇERİKLERİ
CAPITAL BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL ENGINEERING
The goal of the course is to introduce the students to a relatively deep, overview of the investment process and develop key skills needed to become a successful securities analyst and investor.
MANUFACTURING POLICY
Manufacturing strategy (and more broadly, operations strategy) examines strategy for manufacturing and operations within the firm. The course will examine how manufacturing and operations can be used as competitive weapons.
HUMAN FACTORS IN ENGINEERING SYSTEMS
Evaluation, analysis, and design recommendations for improving human performance and productivity in applied settings. Collection of instrument-based and user survey data. Emphasis on ergonomics, human factors and sociotechnical systems engineering approaches and problems.
BASIC INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES
The course consists of two parts. Part I is on the life source of industrial processes energy. Lectures are designed to bring students to an understanding of energy sources, principles of utilization, associated problems and alternatives. In Part II, basic industrial processes are discussed. Ceramic, cement, glass.
MODELLING TECHNIQUES AND IMPLEMENTATION TO ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
This course is intended to provide students with a solid foundation of model building as well as the more mathematical algorithmic side of the subject. The students will be required to formulate verbal problems into mathematical models and to solve them with the aid of computers. GAMS modelling language will be used extensively.
RESEARCH TOPICS IN ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
Students work individually or in small teams to develop projects reflecting the background gained in the other EM courses. The projects are chosen from critical research and implementation issues in engineering management.

Selected topics in engineering and technology management selected to suit the interest of the individual students.
ADVANCED TOPICS IN ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
Advanced and current topics in engineering management and case studies.

Marketing, competition, strategic planning, business and consumer markets, related marketing strategies.
INVESTMENT DECISION MODELLING
Understand the objective function, the investment principle, risk and hurdle rates, measuring returns, the financing principle, the optimal financing mix, the right kind of debt, the dividend principle, how much to return to owners, linking financial decisions to value.
OPERATIONS RESEARCH FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
The basic purpose of this course is to explore various issues and problems faced by top executives in making decisions related to developing marketing and new technologies within pricing, manufacturing and servicing, and provide students with an opportunity to apply the various concepts, techniques and methods of operations research to the development of a new product or service. Cases will supplement the issues enlightened in the class. Student will be helped to harness the opportunities created by the tremendous growth of OR technology. Students will realize the effective management is the single biggest distinguishing factor between good technologies that succeed and good technologies that failed.
ADVANCED QUALITY ENGINEERING
Quality tools, multivariate process control, quality function deployment, experimental design, Taguchi method.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND CAPITAL INVESTMENT
The objective of the course is to provide a better understanding of corporate finance issues. The course content includes identification and evaluation of real options, forecasting financial needs, and identification and evaluation of risk-sharing opportunities.
INDIVIDUAL STUDIES IN ENG.MAN
Students work individually to develop research studies covering a wide range of topics including the selection, scheduling control and termination of R&D and engineering projects, R&D/engineering/ marketing interfaces, team building and information patterns in engineering and R&D organization, concurrent engineering.
INDUSTRIAL PROCESS DESIGN
This is a project work whereby students design an industrial process-most likely to be in one of the industries considered in Basic Industrial Processes course- to meet a specified requirement. The work includes feasibility study in view of market forecast, detailed process design, economic evaluation and estimates for minimization of capital and production cost. STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
Introduction to technology and innovation management, strategic technology management, technological innovation and strategy, new product development and innovation, case studies.
ADVANCED LINEAR OPTIMIZATION
Objectives of this course are: to gain an insight on how the linear systems and simplex method work, to understand duality and dual simplex method, to solve certain non-linear systems using linear methods. MATLAB software will be used outside the class extensively.
INVENTORY THEORY
Analysis of inventory systems. General stochastic formulations. Markovian decision processes.
STOCHASTIC PROCESSES IN DECISION MAKING
Markov chains: classification, recurrence, transcience, limit theory. Renewal theory, Markov processes, birth- death processes. Reliability theory; coherent systems and reliability bounds. Markovian queues and Jackson networks.
ADVANCED SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Introduction to Supply Chain Management ,Competitive and Supply Chain Strategies.
